how to jump start a car

1. make sure both car engines (stalled and good) are turned off.
2. connect the red cable to the positive terminal of the stalled car.
3. connect the other end of the red cable to the positive terminal of the good car.
4. connect the black cable to the negative terminal of the good car.
5. connect the other end of the black cable to the engine  block of the stalled car.
• do not connect to the negative terminal in the stalled car. 
• you might see some sparks, but it is ok.
• make sure the clamps do not touch each other during the last 4 steps.
6. start the good car.
• make sure all other devices, air conditioner/radio/CD/etc, are off.
7. step a bit more on the gas pedal of the good car.
8. start the stalled car.
• make sure all other devices, air conditioner/radio/CD/etc, are off.
9. disconnect all the cable connections in the REVERSED order.
• make sure the clamps do not touch each other in this process.
10. done
