Ingredients ...
[1] one cup of soybean, soaked in water overnight.
[2] 2 beets, skinned, halved.
or 1.5 cups of yam, skinned, big cubed.
or 1.5 cups of pumpkin, skinned, big cubed.
Directions ...
[a] steam [1] for 25 minutes. put in a bowl to cool when done.
[b] steam [2] for 25 minutes. put in a bowl to cool when done.
[c] when ready to drink, put them into a vitamix blender,
add 4 cups of hot water, 195F, and mix.
[d] ready to serve, it is warm, but not hot.
Notes ...
[1] it will be very handy if you have one of those water boilers like the
picture below, then the 195F hot water is readily available.
[2] you can steam larger quantity at once, put them in a container and leave
them in the fridge for later use. 2 cups of soy bean can fill a big container
from Chinese take out. the same is true for pumpkin, yam and beets.
then whenever you are ready to drink one, just take the right portion out
and put them in the blender, add hot water, mix and you are good.
[3] all these ingredients, soybean, pumpkin, beets and yam have high nutrition
values. especially plenty of fiber.
