- ck battery water level or indicator on the top of the battery (if applicable).
- ck battery wire/post/terminal, make sure it is tight and clean.
- tune up ( if needed ).
- belt ( make sure it is not loose ).
- oil ( engine oil, transmission oil ).
- radiator/hose/fluid ( ck when the engine is cool, make sure to use the correct type of coolant ... they come in different colors ... if needed ).
- test heater/defroster.
- ck all the lights ( including high/low beam )
- ck brake, brake fluid.
- ck windshield wiper blades, washer fluid.
- ck tire pressure ( higher than in the summer ).
- use gas treatment to take out moisture in the tank. use 1 bottle for each full tank of gas. put the treatment in the tank first before filling the gas ( so they mix better ). use 2 times in a row ( make sure it is the correct gas treatment )
- leave the jumper cable in the trunk.
- ck power steering fluid.
