Clean the Water Heater

about every 3 weeks, you need to clean the water heater as follows.

  1. unplug the heater.
  2. fill 1/3 of the heater with distilled vinegar (get the cheapest one from Walmart)
  3. top off with water.
  4. bring to boil.
  5. unplug and dump out the water and vinegar.
  6. let the heater dry, if you see white powder in the container, wipe them off with a paper towel.
  7. refill with water, bring to boil.
  8. unplug and dump out the water.
  9. refill and bring to boil, then it is good to serve.
Note:
  • you might want to do this outside or in the garage, since it smells bad.
  • if you still see the deposit after step 6,  go to step 2 again.
