about every 3 weeks, you need to clean the water heater as follows.
- unplug the heater.
- fill 1/3 of the heater with distilled vinegar (get the cheapest one from Walmart)
- top off with water.
- bring to boil.
- unplug and dump out the water and vinegar.
- let the heater dry, if you see white powder in the container, wipe them off with a paper towel.
- refill with water, bring to boil.
- unplug and dump out the water.
- refill and bring to boil, then it is good to serve.
Note:
- you might want to do this outside or in the garage, since it smells bad.
- if you still see the deposit after step 6, go to step 2 again.
